Crash victim is cut from her car
A MOTORIST was taken to Wexford General Hospital last Friday morning after a single vehicle collision on the Gorey bypass at around 7 a.m.
The crash occurred at the Inch slip road in the northbound carriageway and the road was partially blocked for a time.
It appears the driver lost control of the vehicle in wet conditions. A large amount of surface water was reported on the road at the time.
Gardai, ambulance, and the fire brigade were called to the scene, and the fire crew had to cut the occupant of the car from the vehicle.
She was brought to Wexford General Hospital, but details of her condition were not known.
The northbound section of the motorway was closed for a period while the emergency operation was underway. Wexford County Council was notified to assess the condition of the road.
