Customers found in pub after hours
THE OWNER of the Macamore Inn in Ballygarrett was fined €400 at Gorey District Court recently, after customers were found on the premises after hours.
Sgt. Yvonne Connolly told the court she seached the licensed premises at 12.45 a.m. on January 18 last, and found customers on the premises, with fresh drinks. Closing time was 11.30 p.m. with a half hour drinking up time.
The pub's owner, Michael Bolger (65) of the Macamore Inn, Ballygarrett, apologised, saying it was 'just a mistake' on his behalf. He had a clean record up to now, and Judge Haughton fined him €400 giving him five months to pay.
Two customers found on the premises, Jamie Burke ( 27) of Ballinagam, Ballygarrett, and Michael Lawlor (53), of Shrule, Ballygarrett, were fined €90 each.
