Danger to children

MOUNDS of clay and bundles of steel are hazards to children playing in the Hunter's Green estate in Gorey, Cllr.

Robbie Ireton complained last week . He raised the matter at the June meeting of Wexford County Council where he asked officials when planning permission for the unbuilt houses in the estate will expire. He was assured by housing officer Maeve O'Brien that the council has built its share of the homes due to be constructed in Hunter's Green. Any further development not yet completed is the business of private builders, she explained. Director of services Adrian Doyle assured Cllr. Ireton that the issue of hazardous mounds and steel would be brought up with the developer.
