Death crash driver faces three further charges

AN ADAMSTOWN man, currently serving a sentence for dangerous driving causing the death of his best friend and sister's boyfriend, appeared briefly before New Ross District Court last Tuesday to answer three further charges in relation to the incident.

Michael Sinnott, of Kellystown, Adamstown, is charged with failing to keep a vehicle he was driving at or near the scene for a period which was reasonable, having no insurance and no driving licence on January 4, 2004 at Kellystown.

The incident claimed the life of 20year-old Adrian Cogley from Clonroche.

Defence solicitor Ian Ryan sought a Gary Doyle Order and the case is due back before the court again on February 15, 2011.
