Delays can be expected on M11
DELAYS are expected this Thursday as the M11 motorway is closed to allow for remedial tar macadam works at the Courtown Road overbridge.
Details of the works programme are still being finalised, but it's expected that the southbound carriageway will be closed early in the morning from Exit 22 at Tinnock, to Exit 23 at Raheenagurren. Traffic travelling south, will be diverted at Green's Berry Farm down the old N11, to the Coach Road, where it will be diverted out the Courtown Road and back on to the bypass. Work is expected to start at around 6 a.m. or 7 a.m. Then later in the day, the northbound carriageway will be closed to allow for similar works, with traffic diverted at Clough, into Gorey, and up to the Tinnock junction, at exit 22.
On Friday, it's expected that the northbound section of the carriageway will be closed between Junction 22 and Junction 21, at Arklow South, to allow for the laying of tarmac at the cattle underpass near the northbound layby, where there has also been settlement. Traffic will be diverted through Inch.
