Driver over limit
A TWO year driving disqualification order has been imposed on a Taghmon motorist for drunken driving.
David Quigley from The Yard, Back Street, Taghmon, pleaded guilty to the offence, which occurred on April 11 last at Raheen, Foulksmills.
Garda Brophy told the court that a sample of the defendant's breath showed a concentration of 59 mg of alcohol per 100 ml of breath.
The court heard that the 37-year-old defendant has one previous conviction, dating back to 2000, for failing to provide a specimen of breath and he was disqualified from driving for four years.
Judge O Buachalla convicted and fined him €400, endorsed his driving licence and disqualified him from driving for two years and one day to take effect in four weeks time.
