Drugs found in Glynn man's home
A YOUNG Glynn man found in possession of cannabis has been fined €300.
The home of Cathal Whelan, from Wilkinstown, Glynn, was searched on May 5, 2010, and the Gardaí discovered cannabis worth around €140, which was for Whelan's own use.
Judge Donnchadh O Buachalla heard that his previous convictions included possession of drugs.
The court also heard that the 21-year-old unemployed plasterer co-operated fully with the Gardaí and that he thinks the Gardaí have over valued the cannabis they found at his home.
Inspector Pat McDonald said Whelan has not come to the attention of the Gardaí recently. Judge O Buachalla handed down the €300 fine.
