Emma teams up with the Sky

Merakindie, a new independent promotions company founded by 26-year-old Wexford woman Emma Kelly, is teaming up with the Sky and the Ground pub in South Main Street to host a regular club night with Dublin band Le Boom taking the premiere slot this Thursday, August 24, at 9 p.m.

Emma previously organised the '3 Will Tour', a unique 24-date event featuring Wexford artists Paul Creane, Paula Cox and The Man Whom. Her latest venture is a residency in social hot-spot the Sky and the Ground, a pub renowned for its support of musicians and contribution to the music scene.

'I'm delighted to be working with my local pub which is run by the Barron family, Over the years, they have brought some fantastic music to Wexford and I'm very excited to be able to collaborate with them,' she said.

The energetic Dublin-based electro-pop duo Le Boom who will be arriving in Wexford after performances on the main stages at Body & Soul, Sea Sessions and Castlepalooza.

The next six months are booked up with scheduled acts including Fixity and The Bonk. Tickets at €10 are available at the bar.
