Exhibit to celebrate memories of those suffering with Alzheimers
AN ART exhibition celebrating the life memories of people with Alzheimer's will open at the Blue Egg Gallery in John's Gate Street next Saturday, April 21.
The unique project was organised and supervised by artist Helen Mcclean and presents a rare insight into the creativity of those living with dementia.
The participants were assisted by family members and volunteers, including students from Loreto Secondary School who visited St John's Day Care Centre in Enniscorthy every Saturday to work with older people.
The exhibition will be open to the public on Sunday, April 22, between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m., and will continue to run from Tuesday, April 24, to Saturday, April 28, from 11 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. each day.
