Extensive works planned for Trinity Wharf area - CEO
THE CEO of Wexford County Council said substantial works will be carried out on the Trinity Wharf site in 2018.
Tom Enright told last week's Wexford County Council meeting that he was just after meeting with a potential investor in Trinity Wharf and is busy attracting companies to locate there. 'A lot of background work is going on and we are receiving expressions of interest,' Mr Enright said. 'The plan in 2018 is to go to procurement with construction work next year.'
Director of Services for Economic Development Tony Larkin said harbour, shellfish and environmental reports are being carried out.
Mr Carley said project architects are finalising the draft plan which members will have sight of in October.
Phase I of the Trinity Wharf plan involves road infrastructure and works on the new marina.
Cllr Lisa McDonald said: 'If we don't resolve (housing) issues that affect this community like housing we will not be able to attract people to work in a beautiful, fantastic building.'
