TWO South Wexford communities have been left stunned by the deaths of a 13-year-old boy and a young father-of-two in separate accidents.

Only hours before he was killed in a motorcycle crash at Ferrycarrig on Friday night, Gavin Nugent, aged 27, had been a member of the honour guard at a Mass of the Angels in Taghmon for family friend David Nash Doyle, who died in an accident at his home in Cleariestown earlier in the week.

Gavin, from Ardinagh, Taghmon, was the fourth member of his family to die in a motorcycle accident.

David was building a swing in the garden at his family home at Blackmoor, Cleariestown, when he tragically died on Wednesday afternoon.

The Nash and Nugent families are near neighbours in Taghmon.

David, who had just completed his first year at Wexford Vocational College, is the son of David Doyle and Jennifer Nash and a brother of Shannon, Tara, Calum and Connor.

'He was trying to finish a swing and it went wrong,' said David's grandmother,' Anne Nash.

The driver of the car involved in the collision with Mr. Nugent's motorcycle is still recovering from his inuries.
