Family's bedside vigil as farmer badly injured

friends and family of local farmer Paddy Devereux have been keeping vigil at his bedside at Wexford Hospital since he was seriously injured in a farm accident near Kilmore on Friday.

Mr Devereux, who is his early 70s, was moving cattle at his farm at Boley's Cross when he was struck by a gate in the accident. He suffered serious head injuries and was taken to hospital by ambulance following the call-out which was also attended by the Rescue 117 helicopter. Mr Devereux used to farm at Rochestown, Drinagh, and comes from the well-known Devereux business and farming family.
