Fears for the English economy
Radio show presenter Maggie Doyle said that following the shock Brexit vote she was glad she is the holder of an Irish passport.
Working with BBC Radio Kent, Maggie said that Brexit has got the whole country talking about politics, but said she is unsure of the implications arising from the vote.
'I think it will depend on the industry you work in as well as other factors. Everyone is obviously concerned about the economy. I do feel there will be a blip in that but I think it will turn out ok. There is a great sense of worry.
'In terms of the Irish community living here there are fears too. We have a special relationship with England at the moment in terms of passport control and one would hope that would remain. I can't understand why they would change that. People are worried about the currency drop too.'
Maggie, who hails from Bayview Drive in Wexford town, said that she hopes that people will rally together in light of the vote and it won't lead to a second global recession. 'It 's a wait-and-see game really.'
She said that everyone was talking about the vote in recent days.
'I have never heard politics being discussed here as much as I have done recently.'
