Fined €150 for row with bouncer
A YOUNG man who got in a row with bouncers at a Wexford nightclub has been fined €150.
Gary Kavanagh (23), of 13 Ard Alainn, Castlebridge, pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct at Charlotte Street on September 10 last when he appeared before Wexford District Court last week.
Garda Declan Dennehy said the Gardaí were called to 'a verbal altercation' at the door of a nightclub. He said that Kavanagh was arguing with the door staff.
'He was very agitated and alleging that he had been unlawfully removed from the premises,' said Garda Dennehy.
The Garda said they tried at length to get Kavanagh to calm down and leave the area, but they couldn't, so they had no option but to arrest him.
He co-operated fully with the Gardaí and Garda Dennehy said ' he had no beef with us, just the alleged actions of the door staff '.
Kavanagh apologised to the court and Judge Donnchadh O Buachalla fined him €150 for the offence.
