Fines imposed on motorists in court

OFFENCES detected by Wexford town's Community Wardens earlier this year resulted in a number of fines being imposed on motorists at Wexford District Court last week

June Wallace, of Maple Lodge, Garrison Road, Ballymitty, was fined €250, plus costs of €50, for parking in a disabled bay without a permit at Abbey Street on July 5.

Seán Kinsella, of Shalom, Killeens, Wexford, was fined €150, plus costs of €50, for a parking offence detected at Custom House Quay on June 8.

William O'Connor, of 80 Cromwellsfort, Wexford, was fined €150, plus costs of €50, for failing to have tax displayed on his vehicle at Anne Street on June 17.

Frank Meagher, trading as Meagher Electrical, Ballykelly, Drinagh, was fined €200, plus costs of €50, for failing to have tax displayed on his vehicle at Common Quay Street on June 21.

Pascal Cooney, of Rosebud, Ballindinan, Barntown, was fined €150, plus costs of €50, for a parking offence detected on Wexford's quay on May 27.

Mark Lehane, 19 Whiterock Heights, Wexford, was fined €150, plus costs of €50, for a parking offence detected at O'Rahilly Place on July 10.

Brian Parle, of Parle Transport, Tacumshane, Broadway, was fined €150, plus costs of €50, for a parking offence detected on Wexford's quay on July 29.

Annette Williams-O'Gorman, of Tykillen, Crossabeg, was fined €60, plus costs of €50, for a parking offence detected at Common Quay Street on July 29. The court heard that it was an 'oversight' on her part that the on-the-spot fine was not paid and an apology was tendered to the court on her behalf.
