Foulksmills to host 'shotgun wedding'
THERE will be a shotgun wedding in McDonagh's Pub at Goff 's Bridge, Foulksmills, on Saturday night.
Blushing bride Martin McClements is due to tie the knot with dashing groom Jimmy Cadogan, with the nuptials arranged in aid of the autism unit at Scoil Mhuire, Coolcotts.
It's understand that the bride may have to be forced to the wedding with a shotgun, though 'she' will be joined by proud parents Jack Barden (mother of the bride) and Mick Goddard (father of the bride) and the beautiful bridesmaids, Tony and Christy Sinnott, and Pat Quinn. Brendan Cadogan is Best Man.
Conducting the ceremony will be Fr Joe Monaghan, while keeping an eye on him will be Bishop 'Pink' Sinnott
The fun is due to start around 8.30 p.m. and tickets, costing just €5, will be available on the door. There will be plenty of music and craic until late into the night at the wedding reception!
The organisers of the fundraiser for the Wexford town school are Amy Buckley, Shelly McGee, Shirley McDonagh and Carol Faulkner.
