The late Frank Sinnott of John's Gate Street, was hailed as the ultimate Wexfordian by the Mayor of Wexford.

Cllr Jim Moore paid tribute to the late editor, music promoter and raconteur, saying: 'There weren't many sacred cows left unslain throughout his life.'

He recalled how Frank (at least) once changed the words of a Frank Sinatra song, making it about himself, adding that he brought many wonderful memories to many people.

The councillors all agreed with Cllr Moore's sentiments, with Cllr Ger Carthy describing him as 'one of the great characters of the town'.
