Free information evening for would-be students at IT Carlow

By David Tucker

If you are aged 23 or over and thinking about going to college, then go along to Carlow IT for an Open Information evening from 6.30 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, January 13.

At this free information evening, at the Carlow Campus, you can receive guidance on what it means to go to college as a mature student and how it will impact on your life.

The college's experienced staff will be at hand to advise you about CAO application procedures and how to fill out your CAO form. You can visit exhibition stands and discuss the courses and career options with IT Carlow staff and also find out about the first class campus facilities and student services.

The open evening provides an ideal opportunity to explore the grants and social welfare assistance available to help you go to college. Advisors from SUSI (Student Universal Support Ireland) will be in attendance to answer questions about grant entitlements. The Department of Social Welfare will also be represented and will be available to advise on education entitlements for mature students.

A similar information evening will take place at the Wexford Campus from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, January 15.

So whether you are considering joining IT Carlow as a mature student or continuing education, you should go to the free open evening and see for yourself how your ambition can be inspired. Visit
