From Britain's Got Talent to Bizfest at the National Opera House

Ivan Yates

A young Britain's Got Talent semi-finalist is on the way to Wexford tomorrow (Wednesday) for a brief appearance on the National Opera House stage.

14-year-old Leah Barniville from Rathoath in County Meath is set to wow the attendance with a guest appearance at Bizfest, Wexford's free networking event aimed at helping Irish companies to develop their networks and expand their business.

The classically-trained young singer will perform two songs that helped her reach the Britain's Got Talent semi-finals, Lucio Dalla's 'Caruso' and Nino Rota's 'Parla Piu Piano'.

This year's Bizfest features Ivan Yates as MC. The panel of speakers includes Patsy Carney, CEO and co-founder of Eirgen Pharma; Jim Hughes, CEO and co-founder of Innovate; Paul Jacob, the owner/founder of Smart Storage; Fiona Dillon, CEO, Tumbledown Media; Mag Kirwan of Goatsbridge Trout Farm; and Lauren Murphy of St Killians Candles.

The annual Bizfest is hosted by the Wexford Local Enterprise office and sponsored by Bank of Ireland. With a theme of 'Look further, think bigger, be ambitious', this year's Bizfest aims to provide an opportunity for owners, managers and their key staff to make connections and gain inspiration and knowledge from the experience, entrepreneurial spirit and stories of entrepreneurs.

The event runs at the Opera House from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets are free and can be booked through
