A large crowd gathered at the Wexford Federation ICA meeting held at the Ferrycarrig Hotel where two local charities were presented with a cheque.

The members had nominated Wexford Marinewatch and Wexford Hospice Homecare and each organisation received a cheque to the value of €1,525.

The funds were raised from a Fun Walk that was held around the Wexford - Kilmore, Ballyfad, Enniscorthy, Wexford town and Bunclody.

The meeting also saw Margaret McMillan the European Area President speak on behalf of the Associated Country Women of the World. The association is of women-led societies and groups working collectively for the shared vision of an improved quality of life for women and communities.

All members enjoyed some light refreshments after the busy meeting.
