Fundraiser helps school extension

PARENTS from St. Iberius National School bet big bucks on the gee-gees recently at a successful fundraising race night in the Talbot Hotel.

Organised by the parents of second class in the school, the event saw over 100 punters have a flutter with fake fun money, which was then used as currency for an auction.

'It was ¤10 to get in, and everyone was given a fun money pack. People used that to bet, and the more they won on the night the more they had to spend at the auction at the end,' explained Nicola Peilow.

The event had two main sponsors, Chris and Anne Harvey of St. Ives Bay
