Gardaí investigating Wexford town burglaries

Wexford gardaí are investigating a number of burglaries which took place across the town in the past week.

On Thursday evening, a window was broken to gain entry to a property in Coolcotts. It was unclear if any property was stolen during the course of the incident.

Following on from this, there was a break-in at a property at Temperance Row in Wexford town on Friday evening. A laptop was stolen and gardaí are asking the public to be vigilant if similar items are offered for sale.

Nearby on Selskar Street, a house was broken into the following day (Saturday) and a small amount of cash was taken. Gardaí are appealing for anyone who may have noted anything suspicious to contact Wexford Garda Station.

Finally, the old Tesco premises at Crescent Quay was the target of thieves on Saturday also. Having gained entry, they stripped the building of lead and copper wire. Similarly, anyone with information on this or any of these incidents should contact Wexford Garda Station on 053 9165200.
