Gold Stars for being disabled friendly
MEMBERS OF Wexford Borough Council have welcomed the introduction of a Gold Star Awards programme encouraging shops to cater for disabled people.
The aim of the scheme is to bring about improvements in physical access to buildings and customer services. The project has been endorsed by Visit Wexford Tourism which views it as a means of broadening the town's attractiveness to visitors. Membership of the scheme is on a voluntary basis and participants will be given help and guidance by a Wexford Gold Star Awards task force.
