Golden celebration for Tommy and Annette
Fifty years after they tied the knot at Bride Street Church, Tommy and Annette Mahoney had every reason to celebrate.
The well known couple from Fishers Row decided not to go too far for their golden wedding anniversary dinner.
They opted for the Talbot Hotel, just a few short steps away along Trinity Street from their own front door, where they held their wedding reception 50 years ago. The staff of the Talbot pulled out all the stops to make sure they had a night to remember.
And they decided to restrict the guest list to immediate family members as they enjoyed a great meal in the best of company.
They were delighted to have their two boys home for the milestone occasion as they both live abroad these days.
Martin is a long-time resident of New York, while Tommy junior has found a home for himself in Tenerife.
Also present, of course, were Tommy and Annette's daughters: Esther with her partner Eamon Murphy and Paula Gondard with her husband Bernard.
And the party was completed by a full turnout of the next generation, five grandchildren in all: Martin's daughter Ella and Alex, Callum, Cillian and Isabella Gondard.
