The August Bank Holiday weekend in Gorey will be packed with free entertainment - and people - as the Market House Festival takes place.

Music on the Main Street stage features headliners The Academic on Friday, August 4; Rattle & Hum on Saturday, August 5; and Mundy, on Sunday, August 6; with some top support acts lined up to get the crowd going from 7.30 p.m. each night.

Other festival events include the Family Fun Day at Gorey Town Park, on Saturday, August 5, from 12.30 p.m. to 5 p.m. featuring the Fanzini Brothers, Wobbly Circus and the Big Dig, a climbing wall, a puppet theatre, stilt walkers, games, and so much more.

The Making Music Busking Competition takes place around town from midday to 2 p.m. on Saturday with some great prizes on offer.

On Sunday, August 6, Main Street will be partly closed to traffic for the street market with a fine selection of stalls and a vintage rally, with live music throughout the day on the main stage.

Art, craft, and photography exhibitions run throughout the weekend in various venues around the town.

Gorey Market House Festival is supported by the County Council, and Gorey Chamber. Follow Gorey Market House Festival on Facebook.
