A SMALL business loan support scheme will be launched in Wexford town next week.
Wexford Credit Union, in association with Wexford County Enterprise Board, will formally launch their small business loan support scheme on Wednesday, January 26 at 6 p.m. in Wexford Credit Union on Anne Street.
Local businesses and those hoping to start businesses are invited to attend the launch of the scheme, which is targeted towards small to medium businesses in the start-up, incubation and growth stages of development.
Representatives from Wexford Credit Union and Wexford County Enterprise Board will present detailed information on the scheme.
Members and eligible members of Wexford Credit Union Limited are entitled to apply for a loan through the offices of the credit union.
' The Small Business Loan Support Scheme is an excellent alternative source of finance for local commercially viable SMEs and will enable these businesses to fulfill their potential,' Ultan Ryan, Manager of Wexford Credit Union.
' Restoring credit access at local level for small businesses is vital to boosting economic activity and recovery in Wexford,' said Mr Ryan.
Local entrepreneurs hoping to avail of financing must provide a complete business plan with their application, which will be jointly reviewed by Wexford Credit Union and Wexford County Enterprise Board.
'Financing plays a huge role in the survival and success of any business. I would urge small businesses to avail of this new service,' said Wexford County Enterprise Board's acting CEO, Tom Banville.
