Hit and run driver struck child in Wexford - claim
GARDAI are investigating a report that a woman motorist involved in a hit and run involving a child in Talbot Green last week.
An eyewitness said the woman, driving a Wexford-registered Opel Zafira, cut her off, forcing her to brake suddenly.
'She didn't slow down over the ramp at Talbot Green and hit a rucksack on a child's back, sending her flying.'
The witness said the child suffered a few scrapes and was shocked and crying, but was otherwise all right.
The child's mother reported the incident to the gardai who are investigating.
