Hotel must settle for 1 a.m. closing
AN ENNISCORTHY hotelier is worried that potential customers will not move from the pub to take advantage of the bar in his premises unless he can offer late drinking until 2 a.m.
The District Court dealt with an application for a 2 a.m. bar extension into July 16 from Anton Treacy of Treacy's Hotel. Garda Inspector Pat Cody pointed out that date is a Monday morning.
Judge Gerard Haughton amended the application to 1 a.m. at the request of the inspector and it was granted on that basis.
