Iceman author at library

Michael Smith, the author of Tom Crean Iceman, had a captive audience of CBS students at Wexford town library and again at Bridgetown Community School when spoke on the life and times of Sir Ernest Shackleton, from his birth in Athy in Co. Kildare to his death in Antarctica, and all the adventures that came between.

Michael proved an adept and accomplished speaker and his inspirational talk kept his young audiences in rapt attention as he told them of the polar explorer Shackleton, who died while his ship was moored in South Georgia in 1921.
