Jobs boost as Phonewatch expands

By Esther Hayden

At least ten new jobs will be created in Wexford at Phonewatch.

The company has launched a recruitment drive to fill 10 new sales roles which have been created to deal with an increase in sales.

Located in Redmond Square Phonewatch which provides monitored home safety systems said that at least ten new roles will be created in Wexford as the company enters its busiest sales period. The jobs will involve door to door selling.

Although the jobs have been created to deal with the increased demand for the service in the lead up to the winter season a spokesperson for the company said the jobs are not seasonal in nature and that full and part time positions are available.

National Sales Director Allen Tully said; 'It's fortunate that our busiest time of year comes after the summer holidays. We need to grow our sales teams to meet the increased demand for our home security systems and people often decide during their holidays that they want or need a change in their job or career, and we can offer them a great career opportunity.

'Becoming a Direct Sales Representative offers many opportunities not least flexibility in your working day, comprehensive sales training, fantastic earning potential and the opportunity to progress a career in sales. At PhoneWatch we like to promote from within and this allows sales representatives to grow on the sales team or to switch to other roles within the company.

'We continue to grow our customers in the Wexford area and are delighted to be firmly rooted in the community here. There is no doubt that homeowners are becoming more security conscious and this is helping reduce burglaries. The latest household report from the Central Statistics Office showed a reduction in attempted break-ins which is very heartening to see. We've seen significant demand for our monitored Home Safety System not only in Wexford but throughout Ireland. There is no doubt that a home with a monitored alarm offers peace of mind from burglaries.'
