Joe scoops €35,600 on 'Winning Streak'
CAN FINALLY HAVE A WELL-EARNED HOLIDAY!
A WEXFORD MAN who has been working since he was 12-years-old without a holiday will finally be getting a well-deserved break after he struck it lucky on last Saturday's Winning Streak game show.
Joe O'Brien, from Brendan Corish Gardens, won prizes totalling €35,600 on the show, including a Nissan Qashqai worth €25,000, and though the window cleaner spends a lot of time up a ladder he will have to overcome a fear of flying to enjoy a holiday abroad!
Joe is a father of four daughters and one son, while his partner's name is Maria.
He and Maria buy 16 scratch cards every week, and on this occasion he had sent off seven together. His winning ticket was bought in Butler's Newsagency, Railway News, Redmond Square.
In the week prior to appearing on the RTE game show Joe won a couple of hundred Euro on scratch cards so he feels his luck is definitely in at the moment.
The Wexford man enjoys snooker and darts. He also cycles at least 20 miles a day and he believes that this is the secret to him keeping fit and younger looking than his years!
Joe has been working since he was 12years-old and has never had a holiday. He said he would like to go to Lithuania soon but he has never been on a plane and is totally terrified of flying.
Funnily enough, he has spent most of his life up three stories high on a ladder and that doesn't bother him at all!
