Man in bitter parking row hits 'The Consumer Show'
A WEXFORD man who was the centre of a bitter row over parking at the Hollyville Heights estate will feature on RTE's new consumer affairs show next Monday night.
Seamus Kenny hit the headlines earlier this year due to the row, which saw him regularly clamped by a private company, National Controlled Parking System (NCPS), for parking his Ford Transit van outside his then-home as the estate has a ban on commercial vehicles.
However, it was Mr Kenny's only vehicle and, fighting back, he began to remove the clamps himself with an angel grinder as the row escalated.
He eventually admitted defeat and moved to Cromwellsfort in Mulgannon, but the video he made of his troubles has become a YouTube hit.
Mr Kenny will revisit the controversy next Monday night, September 20, when he will speak to presenters Eddie Hobbs and Keelin Shanley about the issue of clamping on ' The Consumer Show' on RTE 1 at 8.30 p.m.
