Meeting to discuss new courthouse plans

WEXFORD'S TDs and Councillors are to meet next Monday to discuss plans for the town's proposed new courthouse on the site of the Municipal Buildings at Wygram.

The plans for the proposed new facility has already met with opposition from local residents and Deputy Brendan Howlin organised the meeting for local politicians to discuss the issue with representatives from the Office of Public Works (OPW), responsible for the design and delivery of the facility.

The meeting, not open to the public, will also be attended by the Chief Executive Officer of the Courts Service, Brendan Ryan.

Cllr Padge Reck asked that a local authority planner also be present at the meeting, noting the concerns of people living in the area.
