Michael D'Arcy wants the election held right NOW!
CALL an election now.
This was the clear message from North Wexford TD Michael D'Arcy who said this week that Taoiseach Brian Cowen should have gone to Aras an Uachtarain, dissolved the Dail, and called a general election straight away.
'Brian Cowen should have called an election straight away,' said Deputy D'Arcy this week. 'It's another example of bad judgement by the
Taoiseach. He should call an election and let the people decide who they choose to take the country out of this economic quagmire.'
Deputy D'Arcy has already begun his election campaign, and has been canvassing door to door since the beginning of the year. 'We have a quarter of Gorey town canvassed, and two thirds of Courtown canvassed,' he said. Meanwhile, Fianna Fail has yet to select its candidates.
