New candidate Pat Cody out to greet the 'Masses'
EAGER new candidate Pat Cody was quick out of the traps, canvassing in his best Sunday suit for the Labour party at the weekend. Surprised worshippers at St. Senan's church and then St. Aidan's cathedral were greeted by the candidate as they came out from Mass, and he had his election brochures printed and at the ready to press into the hands of voters.
Cllr. Cody may be relatively new to politics but he has tasted nothing but success so far, having picked up a seat on both Enniscorthy Town Council and on Wexford County Council in the 2009 local elections. He revealed that not only had he been loitering with intent around church gates but he was also out canvassing, testing the water in some rural districts and in his home estate of Cherryorchard Heights at the weekend.
