No charges expected after life buoys thrown in water
No charges are expected to be brought against man who threw ring buoys in harbour on New Year's Day.
Speaking at the January meeting of Wexford County Council Cllr George Lawlor said he understood there would be no charges preferred against the man.
Cllr Robbie Ireton said 'these safety rings save lives and I hope the full rigours of the law are applied to the person who interfered with them.'
'It's a horrendous thing for people to be taking down ring buoys', fumed Cllr Davy Hynes.
There are 400 ring buoys in the county.
