No stopping these film-makers now!

THIRTY FIVE members of the Irish Wheelchair Association have produced a body of multimedia work called 'No Stopping Me Now' which was launched last week at Lochrann House.

Funded by the Wexford County Council 'County Wexford Community Arts Network Programme', the project saw members work with artist Michael Fortune to create short animations, films and digital images during weekly workshops.

Speaking at the launch Mary Farrell, IWA Wexford Service Coordinator said that the project celebrates the legitimate aspirations of people with disability using fun and creative methods.

' Michael worked closely with our members and service users who attend IWA Resource and Outreach Centres in Wexford Town and Gorey in order to portray the determination and vision of our members to overcome the obstacles and stigmas associated with having a disability,' she said.

The completed films and animations are available to view on the project website, www. nostopping-me-now.com
