O2 shop damaged by rain
IT'S BEEN over a week since the O2 store in Wexford was forced to close its doors as a result of extensive damage caused by recent heavy rain.
They shut on June 15 and work is now under way to get it back up and running as soon as possible.
The fact that the shop is still closed after more than a week could be a reflection of how badly damaged the building was, however some sources have indicated that O2 may relocate in the coming weeks with the building formerly occupied by Culleton Insurances being touted as a possible new premises.
Damian Connon of O2 said: 'O2 is making best efforts to get back up and running as soon as possible and apologises to customers inconvenienced by the temporary closure. Customers with queries about O2 services can call our telephone care centre, or alternatively visit O2 stores located in New Ross or Arklow; or Carphone Warehouse outlets on Main Street in Wexford, Enniscorthy or Gorey'.
