Old hospital 'a blight on community'
THE old Wexford Hospital is a 'disgraceful eyesore' and a 'blight on the community', Cllr George Lawlor told the borough district meeting. Pointing out that it is a listed building, he wondered if the council was in a position to de-list it saying that this would make it substantially easier and cheaper for the HSE to renovate. This was seconded by Cllr Davy Hynes who said 'that a similar situation will arise with St Senan's in Enniscorthy. Director of Services Tony Larkin said that he would re-examine the hospital listing and check the legal status
