A Wexford tourism industry event is to be hosted by Visit Wexford at the County Hall, on Tuesday, November 24.

The event, which begins at 4.30 p.m., will offer an opportunity for the tourism industry in Wexford to network ahead of the 2016 season and to gain further knowledge on how to incorporate and make the most of the roll out of Ireland's Ancient East. It is aimed at everyone involved in the tourism industry including retail, transport and food businesses in Wexford and key information on the planned activity and collaborative working will be rolled out at the event.

The experts from Sool Nua who have worked with national and international tourism brands across Ireland and overseas will be onsite to discuss engaging and getting the most from working with Visit Wexford.

They will also outline how best to incorporate the roll out of Ireland's Ancient East into brands and more specifically how it can work for individual companies and organisations.

Details on how to create successful collaborative partnerships and how to work with collaborative partners will be outlined along with 'elevator pitching', preparing for family trips and media visits and best practice on cross-selling opportunities will all be discussed.

Commenting on the upcoming event, Chair of Visit Wexford Bettie Marie Burger-Smit said, 'We would like to encourage as many people as possible from all across Wexford to come along to this free event. It is a fantastic opportunity to gain lots of information on marketing best practice in tourism. It will also enable better planning for 2016 and the rollout of Ireland's Ancient East of which we are a pinnacle.

'The event will offer all attendees a greater understanding and the tools necessary in order for the entire industry of Wexford to best work together for 2016.' This event is free to attend and everyone involved in tourism right across county Wexford is invited.
