Paul delighted to get letter from the Queen
A 12-YEAR-OLD Castlebridge boy was beaming this week after receiving a letter from Buckingham Palace.
London-born Paul Forde, the son of Caroline and Christopher Forde, was chuffed when Palace staff replied to a letter he wrote to Queen Elizabeth II in advance of her recent visit.
Paul, who is school at CBS Primary, is a huge fan of the royals and wrote to the queen to tell her he was excited about her Irish visit. ' I said I would wave my Union Jack flag out the window,' she said.
This week Paul was delighted when he got a letter from the Queen's Lady in Waiting who said: ' The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh were delighted to be able to go to Ireland last month and greatly appreciated your kind thought in writing as you did.'
'I am delighted with the response,' smiled Paul on Monday after he brought his letter to school to show some classmates.
