A CASE State solicitor Kevin O'Doherty expected to last ten minutes will actually require half a day of the District Court's time, according to the defence. Judge William Hamill dealt on Monday with the matter of the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Innovation versus AHP Electrical Ltd of Coolballow in Wexford.
The prosecution alleged that AHP failed to pay €55,000 to their staff pension and sick pay fund, €242,000 in wages and €172 in expenses. Mr. O'Doherty said that the prosecution proof was based on documentary evidence.
In response, solicitor Collette Culleton said that barrister John Curran had been briefed ready to fight the case. The matter stands adjourned until September 24.
