JUST how do you give a busy working bank a complete makeover without disrupting business?

Well, at Permanent TSB in Gorey, the builders moved in at 5 p.m. on a Friday night, and worked 24 hours a day until Monday morning, and they did that for five weekends until the new look bank branch was born.

The large crowd of invited guests who turned up on Thursday evening for the official re-launch, were very impressed with their new bank.

Senator Michael D'Arcy was invited to cut the ribbon at the branch, which celebrates 30 years in Gorey this year.

Branch Manager Padraig Rohan and his team are delighted with their new improved home.

'It's a completely new, and very modern, high tech office,' he said. 'We also have multiple private interview areas so people can come in and sit across from the people here to discuss their business privately.'
