The work of one Wexford photographer has been recognised by a leading Irish astronomy magazine this month after it placed one of his images as the main focal point on its front page.
The September edition of Astronomy Ireland magazine which focusses attention on Irish and international astronomy related issues featured a stunning image of Kilmichael Point in Gorey that was captured by photographer, Brian McDonald.
The amazing photograph captured the milky way rising over an old World War II watch tower while it also captured both Mars and a passing satellite in the background.
The photo, which Mr McDonald titled 'Watching the Universe Go By', is one of a number of brilliant works by the talented photographer that have garnered much praise from those within the Irish photographic industry.
Mr McDonald, who works in the Communications Department of Wexford County Council, is fast earning a reputation as one of the Model County's foremost photographers.
