PO robbery guilty pleas
THE MAN who attempted to rob Oulart post office earlier this year attended the District Court last Wednesday to enter formal pleas of guilty on three charges.
Stephen Thompson, with an address at Lower Ballinacash, Oulart was full of remorse for what occurred on March 1 last, according to defending solicitor John O'Leary.
He admitted assaulting post mistress Christine Dempsey causing her harm, attempted robbery and possession of an air pistol.
He told Judge Gerard Haughton that he understood the charges before he was formally sent forward on bail to Wexford Circuit Court for sentencing at a later date.
