Prison sentence for drugs possession
A BACK dated three month prison sentence was handed down at Gorey District Court recently to James Sinnott (34) of Kellystown, Adamstown, after he pleaded guilty to drugs possession at Killurin on September 29 last year.
Gardai searched a house in the area and found €30 worth of amphetamines which he admitted owning. He had previous convictions and is currently serving six years in prison. Judge Haughton sentenced him to three months in prison, but back dated the sentence to March 20, as he has been in custody on this charge since then.
