Recognition for school's top students
SENIOR students at Wexford Vocational College were congratulated on their achievements at the annual awards ceremony at the school.
The end-of-year celebratory event was attended by students, teachers, family members and a number of special guests including CEO Clare McMahon and Wexford VEC chairman Jim Moore, along with Elizabeth Farrell and Sinead Burke of the Bank of Ireland, which sponsored some of the prizes.
Students were honoured for academic excellence, sporting contribution, peer leadership and enterprise. Teenagers who showed true dedication by not missing a day at school were also recognised.
The overall award for Senior Cycle Student of the Year was presented to Courtney Doyle in recognition of her commitment to her studies and her contribution to the school.
