WASTE not, want not is the motto of a Gorey councillor who wants Wexford County Council to collect and reuse mounds of chippings left on roadsides after resurfacing jobs.
'The amount of wasted chippings left on roads is terrible,' said Cllr Robert Ireton.
'After a road is tarred and chipped, is there any way the waste chippings could be taken up and used again?' he asked officials. 'They could be used to fill potholes rather than leaving them piled on the side of the road.'
