Richard passed away in London
A 33-YEAR-OLD Bridgetown father will be buried today, two weeks after dying suddenly while visiting his father in London.
Richard O'Donoghue from Cousinstown, Bridgetown was visiting with his father Patrick in London when he died suddenly in bed on Wednesday, May 11.
Richard, who has a three-year-old daughter Emily, was brought home by his family for burial in Kilmore.
Born in the UK, Richard lived in Wexford from the age of 12 years, when he came to reside with his mother Bridget in her native Cousinstown.He attended Bridgetown Vocational College and later went on to study Business, Law and French in Carlow IT and even spent a year studying in Calais. He very much enjoyed languages and was particularly good at French. He was a devoted father, who idolised his young daughter.
One of his biggest hobbies was playing golf. An affable man with many friends he will be sadly missed by all who knew him.He is survived by his mother Bridget; father Patrick; daughter, Emily; brothers, John and Graham; sister-in-law, Jacky; nephew, aunts, uncles, relatives and friends.
His body was flown home to Wexford at the weekend and his funeral Mass takes place today ( Wednesday) at 12 noon in St. Mary's Church, Kilmore with burial afterwards in Kilmore Cemetery.
