Road reopened after fatal car crash

The Wexford to Rosslare Road has reopened after a fatal traffic collision in the early hours of Friday morning.

The road had been closed since 1.30am on Friday morning after a car collided with a female pedestrian. The woman was fatally injured and pronounced dead at the scene and her body was removed to Wexford General Hospital.

The 21 year old male driver of the car was uninjured in the collision.

The road was closed until around lunch time to facilitate a Garda Forensic Collision Examination and local diversions were in place.
